Emergency preparedness is often overlooked in the world of charitable giving. Disaster response, with its drama, flashing lights, and critical needs receives the big press, praise, and promotion. Preparedness, long-positioned by traditional disaster services agencies as the endless acquisition of kits, plans, information, and certifications, isn’t usually a trending topic.  If you believe in shifting the preparedness conversation away from thinking about horrible disasters in the future, and making it about building united, empowered communities that can do what needs to be done,  then you’re in the right place. If you want your legacy to be about transforming preparedness, CARD can help.

Consider:

• a monthly donation automatically deducted
• a one-time gift
• including us in your will or trust
• shopping in our Zazzle store

We also have in-kind needs. Our current needs include:

• New computers and computer network (10 stations -- Apple preferred.)
• New phone system (10 stations)
• Memberships (professional associations, Chambers of Commerce, City Car Share, etc.)
• Gift cards or certificates that can be used for prizes, incentives, staff recognition/appreciation
