CARD is looking for a cartoonist/illustrator to transfer our disaster preparedness information into a comic tour-de-force.
CARD is Collaborating Agencies Responding to Disasters. We provide emergency preparedness trainings to the under served communities. This includes the homeless, low-income, disabled, medically fragile, deaf, blind, senior citizens and others with special needs – always working through the agencies that support them. We do not use any fear or disaster-threat messages in our trainings – so having fun cartoons and illustrations helps us accomplish our goals.
If you like drawing on the funny side of the brain and your I.Q. (Insanity Quotient) is at an all time high, then please contact us about the volunteer cartoonist/illustrator position in our downtown Oakland Office.
There are no limitations for this position. Just bring your sense of humor and we will give you an orientation about CARD.

CARD is looking for a photographer / videographer to document our disaster preparedness information and to create blockbuster.

We would like someone who can create crossword puzzles and word games for us.
We will create a down-loadable e-book and sell it to raise funds.
This calls for volunteers to use their creative/fun side and make word games and puzzles for children and adults alike.
There are no limitations on who may volunteer for this project. It should be a fun project for volunteers who like to be creative.
